Hosting a Coaches Workshop
Clubs or other groups interested in hosting an NCCP coaches workshop should contact the BCSSA Coaching Development Committee. Hosts who have adequate numbers of candidate coaches and an appropriate venue will be supported by the Coaching Development Committee to arrange for a Learning Facilitator to lead the course, prepare the course handouts and set up online registration (via the Coaching Association of Canada’s online database, the Locker).
Hosts should budget to cover the costs of the Learning Facilitator’s per diem and expenses, venue rental, and printing for course handouts. In turn, hosts will collect registration fees from the participants and may be eligible for hosting grants from organizations such as viaSport. Host clubs may be assisted financially by the Coaching Development Committee, as budgets allow.
